The Adrienne Arsht Center has announced a new program that provides college students with discounted tickets to their most popular shows. Priced at only $20, full-time students will have a chance to see great shows from Jazz, Theater, Music, Dance, Comedy, and much more. Simply create an account here and follow the instructions online.

Featured upcoming show: Sunday in the Park with George
According to the Adrienne Arsht Center, Sunday in the Park with George has won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Olivier Award for Best Musical. It is considered “one of the first truly modern works of musical theater,” according to their website.
The play is inspired by Georges Seurat’s landmark painting “Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.” It tells the story of a tortured artist and his devoted muse as they search “for truths about life, love and the cost of creativity.”

Celebrating its 10th anniversary last October, The Adrienne Arsht Center has experienced a “Decade of Excellence”, reported the Miami Herald. Since 2006, the Arsht Center has climbed its way to the top as one of the world’s leading performing arts organizations. With its location set at the heart of Downtown Miami, this growing recognition has placed South Florida on the map for the performing arts. With this new program, UM students will have a chance to be a part of the center’s new decade.
