Looking for a nostalgic return to a childhood pastime with an adult twist? Check out World Adult Kickball Association (WAKA)! The WAKA leagues play kickball on Thursday nights or Saturday afternoons and, following the game, head over to local bars for drinks (yes, you must be 21!). WAKA leagues are located all over South Florida, with new seasons starting all the time. The WAKA Florida Coastal League plays on some Saturday afternoons and Thursday nights (at either 7 or 9 p.m., rotating weekly) at Biscayne Park in downtown Miami. Players are given WAKA logo team shirts and receive huge discounts at the sponsor bar, Tobacco Road, where the teams hang out after games. Join alone to meet new people or with a group of friends, for a great time! Registration is still going on and the season starts on February 23rd (look for the link in the upper-right corner of the Coastal League page).
