Yesterday, our Photo Editor Raquel Zaldivar set out to shoot a Food Issue cover that reflects both the sophisticated ideal that Distraction as a publication strives for and the edginess appropriate for an issue that will be delving into Miami’s food scene. For the shoot, Raquel and Fashion Editor Sarah Bromley (with assistant Deanna Franco) joined forces with Ms. Cheezious, the self-proclaimed “sexiest food truck in Miami,” and model Katelyn Pascavis, a senior recruited from the UM student body to pose for the cover. Shot by our Assistant Photo Editor Kelly Smith, the result was far from cheesy and nothing short of delicious — but anyone who wants to feast their eyes on it will have to wait for the issue to come out.
