Redbull Flugtag is an event by Red Bull where numerous competitors attempt to fly their homemade human-powered flying machines. The flying machines are usually launched off a about 30 ft high into the sea. The machines are mainly entered for the entertainment value, because the machines rarely fly at all. The event took place in downtown Miami at Bayfront Park, in front of roughly 90,000 people. The University of Miami Engineering school had their own team, that had an Angry Birds theme. The team  won the People’s Choice Award at the end of the day.
