Real Feelings About Finals

With Finals upon us, many students take up different procrastinating methods to avoid studying 100 chapters of Biology. While lots of students go crazy during this time, we’ve summed up how everyone really feels about the psychotic-ness of Finals.

Thanks, but no thanks

Some professors think it’s kind to not give a final and instead, have a larger-than-life assignment due the week before. Ding ding ding, you’re not the only one to do this! Although it might be nice to finish before everyone else, feel comfort in the fact that you’re not the only student that has 10 projects and papers due in the four days before classes end.

Senioritis

Senior or not, everyone gets a dose of “I don’t want to do this,” during the dreaded time of finals. Whether it’s your first finals as a freshman or the home stretch for seniors, do your best to overcome Senioritis. By that, we really mean “Don’t do it and complain instead.” Take comfort in knowing we all don’t want to do this.

Back Stalking 101

Classes might be important but learning how to creep into the depths of Facebook is a totally relevant skill that should always take precedent over memorizing notes. Take notes from those experienced students that bring back your best friend’s most embarrassing middle school picture before they had their braces off – bonus points if you bring back their mom’s post for their birthday with a collage of blackmail. Thank Facebook for their algorithm and allowing these pictures to resurface on EVERYONE’S Newsfeed.

Positive Thinking

We get it – studying sucks. However, if you think about it, Finals is weirdly an easy time. Most of your involvements are done when classes are, you don’t have to stop studying to go to a class and there’s free food almost every day. Don’t pull all-nighters because that’s unhealthy and you won’t remember what you just studied. Get good sleep, study most of the day and relax. Just think, “By this time tomorrow, I’ll be able to finally finish Gilmore Girls.”
