Looking for something to do on a chill Friday night? Check out the laser light show at the Planetarium in the Miami Science Museum.

The first Friday night of every month, the Planetarium (located less than 10 minutes away from campus) opens its doors from 8:00 p.m. to Midnight playing a variety of laser shows to awesome music, ranging from softer feel-good music such as Bob Marley to the trippier likes of Radiohead and classics such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors.

They play a different laser show every hour, giving you five different options to choose from a night. Considering that tickets are only $8.00 a piece, the laser shows offer a great and cheap alternative option.  Plan ahead and buy your tickets early, as some shows sell out quicker than others.

Once you buy your ticket, you are given entrance into the Planetarium as well as a pair of 3-D glasses.  You sit down and are then ready to enjoy the show, which is projected onto a 65-foot diameter projection screen.

If you love music, you are sure to love the laser light show at the Planetarium.  For more information, and to check out the dates of the laser shows, visit http://www.miamisci.org/www/planetarium_laser_shows.php
