How These Four Brands Are Doing Their Part In the Pandemic

During these uncertain times, everyone is trying to find a balance between caring for themselves and for others. Take a look at how these four companies in the fashion industry are doing their part during the Coronavirus pandemic.

LVMH

Luxury good conglomerate LVMH is using their production facilities to manufacture hand sanitizer. These facilities are usually used to craft fragrances for some of the company’s brands, including Dior and Fendi. But in lieu of the pandemic, LVMH decided to use their resources to make hand sanitizer, which will be distributed to health agencies and hospitals in Paris. Samaria Leah

Samaria Leah had a curiosity for vintage items even as a little girl. Through the years, her collection of Levi’s jeans started to double. One day, she decided to distress them and add embellishments. Soon, her creations became so admired by her friends and family that she decided to start a business. Leah now creates and sells handmade, one-of-a-kind denim pieces in Los Angeles. Today, the millennial trendsetter has a loyal following. She is doing her part during the coronavirus by repurposing old denim scraps into masks, with a portion of the proceeds going towards COVID-19 relief. You can purchase one here.

Nike

This athletic wear powerhouse is using their resources to create something we are all in need of — personal protection equipment. On April 7, the company announced that their innovation and production teams are working with the Oregon Health and Science University to create face shields and air-purifying respirators. Here’s a look at their face shields.

Fashion Nova

Fashion Nova is known for always being one step ahead of the latest trends. And now, they’re doing nothing less. Just because we’re in a pandemic doesn’t mean our fashion looks need to take a hit. Not only are they selling cloth masks in patterns ranging from zebra print to tie-dye, but they’re even pairing the masks with entire outfits on their website. Check them out here.
