It’s that time of the year, folks. Midterm season. When boys become men. When you’re forced to either sink or swim. All that jazz. What better way to get out of your midterm funk than to gorge yourself with gourmet food on the beach? Head on over to the Miami Beach Food Truck & Music Fest this Wednesday, October 17th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event, located at North Shore Park Bandshell on North Beach, is free and will have live music and, of course, tons of delicious trucks to choose from. Some of the trucks attending: Ms. Cheezious, a Miami favorite, has delicious grilled cheese sandwiches made with ingredients such as brie cheese and prosciutto as well as soups like tomato and turkey three-been chili; Latin Burger & Taco, which sells the Latin Macho burger, made with chorizo, chuck and sirloin burger, Oaxaca cheese, caramelized onions, jalapeños, and something heavenly called the avocadolicious sauce; and Health Nut on Wheels, which boasts pasture raised or grass-fed protein as well as tons of fresh fruits and veggies. Entrees from these food trucks will cost you about $10 or less, which is basically nothing for gourmet food in Miami. So take a little study break, because you know what they say – the way to a college student’s heart is through his or her stomach.
