Florida State Recap – 7 years was enough

Miami won an extremely close and exciting game against the Florida State Seminoles!

On Saturday, October 7th, the now 11th ranked Canes overcame the Florida State Seminoles to break the streak of 7 straight losses. The U is back. 

Total Yards Gained// 337

Passing & Receiving// Starting QB Malik Rosier showed toughness and poise by delivering a couple fantastic drives at the end of the 4th quarter to lead the Canes to victory. Braxton Berrios led Miami in receiving with 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. His streak of 4 straight TD catches to open a season ties Reggie Wayne’s 2000 record.

Rushing // The runningbacks held their own against a Florida State defensive line that will be playing on sundays in the near future. Travis Homer had 29 rushes on 3 carries, Malik Rosier also had 29 yards, and Mark Walton added another 25 yards as well.

Defense // Miami’s defense did a great job with tackles for a loss and played great coverage as well leading to 2 interceptions.

Turnover Chain SZN // Dee Delaney and Michael Jackson were the latest Canes to wear the Turnover Chain with interceptions by each of them.

Thoughts//
