Why not look as fabulous as the Times Square Ball itself while you welcome 2022? I’m here to share with you some inspiration from top fashion companies based on my New Year’s Eve fashion research. 

Women’s Fashion

Glitter

With balloons flying, streamers in the air and the sound of cheering as the clock strikes midnight, you need the perfect fit to match that energy. Sequins and sparkles are a great way to embody the spirit of the new year.

Entertainment Tonight posted their top pick dresses for this New Year’s Eve and there were definitely some sparkly and eye catching options.  

Entertainment tonight featured two glittering cocktail dresses from Lulus including the “Bring It Rose Gold Sequin Bodycon Mini Dress”. This dress takes on the classic tight-fitting bodycon dress style but adds an elegant touch with the rose gold color. 

US Weekly posted a list of party dresses from Amazon to start off the new year and featured plenty of glittery dresses to choose from. One dress featured is the full length “BerryGo Women’s Sexy V Neck Bodycon Sequin Gown Evening Dress With Slit.” This elegant gown is sure to sparkle like the stars this New Year’s Eve. The slit adds the extra drama needed to add a dazzling statement wherever you may be going. 

Country Living also recommended adding some accessories like rhinestone-studded heels or statement earrings. This is sure to bring some extra glam as you countdown to midnight. 

Metallic

Another way to be a fashion icon this New Year’s Eve is to let your personality shine through with a metallic statement outfit. 

Cosmopolitan posted 25 New Year’s Eve dress styles with multiple metallic pieces making appearances. In fact, the first outfit on their list was the “Metallic Knit Dress With Pleated Skirt” from Warehouse. This outfit is truly classic New Year’s. It has the metallic and sparkles, but with the twist of it being knitted, a large trend according to Cosmopolitan. 

Revolve featured a plethora of New Year’s Eve Options in “The New Year’s Eve Shop” on their website. One stylish example was the “Seniya Skirt” by LoveShackFancy. This black skirt with gold star accents is super fun and flirty with its ruffled appearance. 

Nordstrom showed the Lulus “Shining Just For You Metallic Gown” in the “Women’s Holiday Clothing Section” of their website. This dress is elegant while still bringing in the New Year’s celebratory vibe. This dress also features a slit for extra drama. 

Men’s Fashion

New Year’s Eve is also the time for men to show off their style. Outfittrends posted an article exclusively for men’s New Year’s Eve fashion telling men not to be afraid to be bold and go all out with their New Year’s Eve fashion. 

Asos has a section on their website that features Men’s Partywear. This section includes the “ASOS DESIGN Skinny Blazer with Gold Sequin Design and Contrast Lapel” which once again brings in that metallic feel. This piece is styled on the Asos website over a plain black shirt which adds nice contrast to the overall look. 

A classic button down shirt never seems to fail us. In H&M’s “New Year’s Eve Outfits For Men” section, there are a variety of button downs, some plain and others with some fun and exciting patterns to spice things up. Their “Slim Fit Easy-iron Shirt” comes in a variety of colors and encompasses a very sophisticated look to bring in the New Year. 

It also appears that a classic suit never goes out of style. Kohls is featuring many suit options under their “Shop New Year’s Eve” section. They also have a variety of ties which can add that finishing touch to a classic suit.
