Cancun

For a sunny, sandy spring break, Cancun is where you want to be. The water is clear and you can sip fresh coconuts (or any other beverage), right on the beach. Sure we have beaches here in Miami, but they just don’t compare to the Cancun shores. You’ll be able to do all the water sports imaginable and leave with a tan that will make everyone jealous.  Forget all about school the instant your feet touch the sand in the tropical paradise that is Cancun. Grab some friends and make sure to take loads of pictures to post on social media because this place is nothing if not picture perfect.

Key West
This is a spring break destination you won’t need to buy a plane ticket for. Just drive about 4 hours south and you’ll be in one of the best parts of Florida. Whether it’s chowing down on lots good eats or buying kitschy ceramics palm trees to keep in your dorm, you will always have something to do in Key West. If it’s water sports you’re looking for, it has plenty of those too including jet skiing, paddle boarding, and boating. If you’re over 21, the bars at Key West are open and full of people all day long so you’ll be “wasting away in Margaritaville” in no time. The next morning, head over to Blue Heaven for the best pancakes you’ve ever eaten and continue to enjoy your laid back spring break.

Bimini
Bimini is the place to go for a real college style spring break complete with plenty of partying, tanning, and beach volleyball. You’ll wake up, spend the day on the beach, and then wake up the next day and do it all over again. You have your choice of staying on a boat, a small house that you’ll share with other college students, or a hotel. Wherever you plan to stay, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a quintessential college experience that you’ll probably never fully share or fail to forget.

New Orleans

Not everyone wants to spend spring break on a beach, but that doesn’t mean they don’t want to party. New Orleans has the culture that you’re looking with the nightlife you desire. Mardi Gras will already be over by the time spring break comes around, but the party in New Orleans never stops. Remember to indulge in all the amazing food the city has to offer. With the po’boys, gumbo, and beignets you’ll never have a boring meal. Check out Lüke, Parkway Bakery and Tavern, and Café Du Monde if you’re in the mood for good eats.

Las Vegas

If you’re spending your spring break in Sin City, be prepared to pack in a full week of partying. Stop by the Marquee Dayclub for a pool party complete with music and a dance floor and then spend your night checking out nightclubs with some of the best DJs. If you’re interested in seeing some headliners, head over to Planet Hollywood. Las Vegas will have you dancing all day everyday! This might be your only chance to experience a weeklong party, so how can you say no?

Remember: This is your time to take a break from college and have the time of your life, but make sure you don’t overdue it. Travel with friends and know your limits to ensure that you have a spring break you won’t totally regret.
