Students gathered on the green on Saturday, March 22nd, to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors. Hosted by the Indian Students Association, the Hindu Students Council, and Hurricane Productions, the festival had a great turnout and was a lot of fun. For those unfamiliar with the colorful tradition, Holi is a Hindu religious festival that celebrates the arrival of spring and the end of winter. To celebrate the beginning of the new season, students chased one another around throwing colored dry powder, water balloons, and buckets of cold water. A giant inflatable slip and slide was also set up adding to the excitement. In case you didn’t get the chance to attend this year’s Holi festival, check out our photos of the event below.
