Bless our poor souls at the University of Miami for every day we are forced to encounter what some may refer to as extreme climate change. We’ll be strolling around outside with our backpacks stuck to our sweaty backs then, as soon as we enter a building, we ask the first person we see if she knows whether or not the bookstore sells snowsuits. Thankfully for the ladies (sorry gentlemen, we’re working on it) there is a simple solution to battling air conditioning that doesn’t involve any winter apparel.
Model Bianca Williams, a senior studying Industrial Engineering, is on top of her game sporting an airy, long, royal blue jumpsuit from the Dressing Room. Paired with sandals also from the Dressing room and gold hoop earrings from H&M, it is clear that simple statement pieces create a standout look. Jumpers are easy to throw on and, most importantly, the light material will ensure that you stay cool outside and protected from that sharp, icy air conditioning inside. The look can be easily transformed from day to night by a pair of colorful wedges to contrast the blue and a stack of gold bangles on each wrist. For any real “winter” nights in Miami that we are yet to encounter, a structured black blazer would offset the free flowing form of the jumpsuit and further accentuate the nip in at the waist.
A warning to air conditioning – you’ve met your match.
