The fifth annual Samuel Adams Octoberfest brought a small piece of Germany all the way to Miami Friday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Sam Adams Castle – Soho Studios in Wynwood. The event featured entertainment by live DJ’s, a polka band, an overly enthusiastic accordion player, a beer holding competition and a Miss Octoberfest Contest. Sponsored by Samuel Adams – the number one selling seasonal beer of all time – and event organizers Tony Albelo of Social House Events and Javi Zayas of ZEvents, the event had an authentic experience that celebrated the true Bavarian tradition with delicious food, seasonal brews and live entertainment.
“It’s all about the beer! This is not some neon wearing, beat-pumping rave, but a true German party,” said Javi Zayas, event organizer.
Tickets were broken up into three different categories- the Bavarian, Der Kommisar and The Chancellor- and ranged between $20 and $50, all of which included at least one free traditional beer.
“When creating ticket categories, we strategized to make tickets affordable while still including a free beer with each package to assure all event goers can experience Octoberfest,” said Tony Albelo, event organizer.
