This weekend, from the beer enthusiasts who brought you Grovetoberfest last fall, check out Sprung! Beer Festival. The event will take place this Saturday, March 9th, from 3 to 7 p.m. and hopes to “expand the craft beer scene in South Florida.” The festival will feature over 150 varieties of beer, including spring and summer seasonal brews. And don’t think there will just be your typical Heineken and Sam Adams (though of course, those will be there for the unadventurous bunch); try unique local beers like Big Rod Key West Ale and Biscayne Gold IPA, along with countless more. The best part? The Game Arena will stream the UM vs. Clemson men’s basketball game, plus hold tournaments for games such as Beer Pong, Corn Hole, or Giant Jenga, to name a few (beginners and experts are welcome). General Admission tickets are $39 and will include access to beer sampling, the games arena, and live music. Looking for more all-inclusive experience? The purchase of a VIP ticket (for a cool $89) is well worth the splurge, with access to VIP areas, meet and greets with the brewers, early entrance to the event, complimentary appetizers, and – most importantly – clean, air-conditioned restrooms with an attendant. So make sure you head out and get sprung!
