If you are feeling the same way I am, due to this little unexpected 3 week hurri-cation, you might be in the mood to procrastinate and ignore the fact that you have three projects, 100 plus pages of reading, 4 meetings and 3 assignments due by Friday. Trust me, I feel you.
In typical me fashion, I have done everything I can to ignore the amount of work I have to do. In honor of my procrastination, I have compiled 10 of the best movies from the 2000s in case you are in the mood for some movie watching procrastination.
#1: The Hot Chick (2002)
Personally one of my favorite Rob Schneider films, “The Hot Chick” is a hilarious film about how a teenager’s life gets turned upside down when she gets trapped in the body of a middle aged man. Featuring actresses like Anna Farris and Rachel McAdams, this film is a must watch if you enjoyed movies like “Mean Girls” and “The House Bunny.”
#2: White Chicks (2004)
Soooo funny! White Chicks never gets old. The story of how two police officers go undercover and impersonate two basic teens in the Hamptons and the shenanigans that ensue, including a dance off and a lot of car ride sing-a-longs. This movie is the perfect lightweight film to watch when you need a good laugh.
#3: The Hangover (2009)
A classic, amongst most 20 somethings. The Hangover never gets old. It’s about 4 friends, and what happens when they go to Vegas for a bachelor party and try to retrace their steps to figure out exactly what happened the night before. Featuring the comedic genius of Zach Galifianakis, this movie will have you laughing non-stop for an hour and 40 minutes.
#4: Superbad (2007)
One of Jonah Hill’s first movies, Superbad is the story of two high school friends and their mission to become part of the cool crowd their senior year. Featuring actors like Micheal Cera and Seth Rogan, this high school comedy is a must see.
And lastly number, #5: Meet the Parents (2000)
Meet the Parents, featuring the beautifully hilarious combination of Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, is the story of what can go wrong when meeting your special someone’s parents, and when I say what can go wrong.. I mean literally the worst things that could happen. A pre-curser to the film “Meet the Fockers” (another must see), “Meet the Parents” will have you laughing and feeling some second hand embarrassment along the way.
Hopefully some of these movies, will help make this week bearable. I know they will be helping me make it to Friday. Happy studying friends and good luck (I know I will be needing it).
