Attention all fashion-savvy students! Have you ever wanted a pair of totally unique shorts, but not have to pay an arm and a leg to buy them? Have you ever wanted to stud your old beat-up pair of Converse and completely reinvent them? Or make unique Buddha bracelets? These are just a few of the many things that a new club – The DIY Fashion Club – is doing next fall. Founded by Adam Tomashek, Lauren Spoto, and Caroline Saunders, this club is all about making your own clothes and accessories without splitting open your piggy bank. Taking an old pair of Levi’s from the thrift store, chopping them up into a sick pair of shorts, dying them an even sicker color, then studding the f&*% outta them sound like fun? It’s addicting. The club is informal and laidback, starting in the fall of 2013. Anyone is welcome – girls AND boys. But really, be warned: it’s addicting. So come make a great pair of shorts, or tie-dye a dope vintage t-shirt, because there is NOTHING quite like wearing something that you’ve made yourself. Cheers!
