First off, don’t even dare pronounce it “DE-grade.” And if you call it tie-dye, don’t bother. Dégradé coloring is what some call Fall’s go-to trend. It’s reminiscent of ombré (that other French-sounding trend Miami fully embraced) but this gradient can include all colors and shades of the rainbow. Even with so many hues, that doesn’t mean it has to be impossible to match with what is already in your closet. Don’t think of it as limiting, but rather making it easier to create your outfit. With so many color options, finding a top in a similar shade should be easy, or go with a basic white or black for a sure win. Not a risk taker? Then a dégradé skirt will be your go-to. As your eye glances naturally from one color to the next soaking in the varying shades of blue, you can pair it with a simple grey or white tank and some cute strappy sandals. Are you willing to go to all colors to be fashionably fab? Then dégradé trousers paired with flats, a flowy top, and a dash of metallic bangles will be your go-to. You can get totally fabulous experimenting. With oranges, pinks, and blue shades galore, we won’t be surprised if dégradé is a lasting trend – we bet there are more color combos than Chipotle menu items. From shoes to pants to sunglasses to purses and even iPhone covers, dégradé is taking the fashion world by storm. Clear out the kiddos, because this dye trend just started a revolution – a color war that is.
